Holistic Integrated Creative Art Therapy (HICAT) Sessions
I have a range of group classes coming soon. Group classes run once a week per term.
What does a HICAT session look like:
Each session is different but typically incorporates:
-
a relaxation activity,
-
a chat about where you are at,
-
a creative activity which may include one or more of dance, music, clay, painting, drawing.
-
Reflection and discussion
-
Ideas/emotional tools to use between sessions
supporting
mental health using the creative process of art making
to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being for individuals of
all ages.
Classes are evolved around a small group of people looking to enhance their mental well being. These are a great way to connect with yourself and others and are ideal as a maintenance program for your emotional health.
For more information about group availability and inclusions, please contact us. Types of sessions include:
-
For Kids: Teaching children to use the creative arts to give "voice" to thoughts they cannot verbally express. Each session will start with a warm up, include activities which promote the processing of self-esteem, trauma, stress or anxiety and include opportunities to reflect. Children will be encouraged to: use problem solving, imagination and self-expression to build self-awareness; communicate thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-judgmental environment
-
For Women: Within a safe and nurturing environment, you will go on a journey of self-discovery. We will explore self-expression and self-awareness, looking to build peach of mind, self esteem, communication, and tension release.
